What is a Transaction Fee?

A Transaction Fee covers the cost of the necessary admin involved with each sale – processing orders, printing, packing and delivering the tickets to you. The fee applies per order rather than per ticket. The amount that the fee is will depend on the type of delivery that the event organiser is asking See Tickets to use and the amount that couriers are charging.

Why do tickets sell out so quickly?

In the case of most events, the demand for tickets outweighs the amount that is supplied. Tickets are sold to customers on a first-come, first served basis and there is no waiting list for cancellations.

Can I collect my ticket at the venue Box Office?

If you prefer, you may be able to ask to have the event tickets sent straight to the venue rather than to an address that you supply. For events that are in the very near future, this will be the case anyway. To collect the order you will need the credit or debit card that you used to purchase the tickets and the reference number. You should also keep a copy of your email confirmation just in case as a further proof of purchase.

A brief history of See Tickets

See Tickets was created from the merger of the ticketing division of Really Useful Theatres, an international theatre, television, film and concert production company set up by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Nottingham events agency Way Ahead Group. It was re-branded as See Tickets in 2004. By 2007, See had sold more than 9 million tickets, most notably selling all the 138,000 tickets for Glastonbury Festival within one hour 45 minutes. By 2011, the value of the company was estimated to be around 100 million. It was immediately sold and acquired by Vivendi, a French mass-media and telecommunications company.
