Scottish Gas is the trading name of British Gas when it operates in Scotland. Scottish Gas and British Gas are both subsidiaries of their international parent company Centrica. As part of British Gas, Scottish Gas has the same roots going back to the Gas Light and Coke Company, founded in 1812. It would eventually become British Gas in 1997 after the privatisation of the British Gas Corporation. British Gas operates in England and Wales, but Scottish Gas has all of the same resources for the customers in Scotland. The energy company was a part of the Nectar points scheme until July 2017. Now they have their own British Gas Rewards, and customers can claim individual Benefits.

Customer Services

If you have an urgent problem with the power supply in your home, call 105 for electrical faults or 0800 111 999 for gas emergencies.
