What Do Orange Offer Their Customers?

Great Network Coverage

First and foremost, Orange not only pride themselves on their commitment to Orange Customer Services, but also being the biggest telecommunications in the UK due to their recent merger with competitor 3 Mobile. This merger has now enabled the dual-company (EE) to offer its customers the highest number of exchange masts in the UK thus offering the best signal strength anywhere in the country.

As Orange is now part of the EE network, this means it gives access to its customers to the only 4G network currently in operation in the UK (as of June 2013).

Orange Wednesdays

Probably one of the most popular services Orange provides, Orange Wednesdays allows Orange users to get a free cinema ticket every Wednesday to take a friend or family member with them when they go to any cinema in the UK. This service has been running for a number of years and is still proven to be a total hit amongst Orange customers in the UK.

Orange Head Office Address

You can write to Orange by sending a letter to the EE customer service department (the company that now owns T-Mobile). The address is: EE Customer Services, 6 Camberwell Way, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, SR3 3XN, United Kingdom.

History Of Orange

Orange first started life in 1994 through a merger of little-known telecoms companies Hutchinson Telecom and Microtel Communications Ltd. Once the merger was completed, the new company re-branded themselves Orange. In June 1996, it becomes the youngest ever company to enter the FTSE with a valuation of £2.4 billion and by 1997, through excessive advertising, secures its one millionth customer.

Orange’s continued commitment to business telecom solutions won them the prestigious ‘Best Business Network 2013’ at the recent Mobile Industry Awards 2013, making them one of the industries leaders in both Personal and Consumer mobile telecoms providers.

By the time the new millennium had arrived, Orange had already been taken over by two other corporations and in February 2000, was due to be taken over by Vodafone as part of their buy-out of Oranges umbrella company – Mannessmann, however, due to EU rulings on competition, Vodafone had to sell Orange to France Telecom where it stayed until 2010 when France Telecom and Orange merged with Deutsche Telecom and T-Mobile to form Europe’s largest network and first 4G mobile network – EE (Everything Everywhere).

As of 2010, Orange employed over 150,000 people across 40 different countries and in 2011, generated total revenues in excess of €45 billion.
