You can use telephone banking as a starting point for other services such as online and mobile banking.
To call the Lloyds bank telephone number you will need your account number, sort code and security number ready. You can also use the service to arrange an appointment at your local branch and set up standing orders.
How To Register For Telephone Banking
You will need to contact Lloyds Bank for a security number before you begin banking with them over the telephone. Once you have received this in the post – it will be a six digit number – you will be able to ring the phone number for Lloyds TSB and speak to an advisor about setting up the service. You will need to recite this number and your bank account number. This can be found on one of your statements or on your debit card. Following this, you will be asked to provide your date of birth.
Once this is set up, you will be able to do one of three things with an automated messaging service: you can hear what your account balance is, what your most recent transactions have been, or ask for an alternative service of your choosing. Simply say “I want to talk to someone” if you wish to be put through to an operator.
Lloyds have made a promise to compensate the thousands of investors who purchased shares in TSB when it was floating on the stock market, if the bank is bought by Banco Sabadell before Thursday 25th June this year.
The Barcelona-based Sabadell launched a surprise bid for TSB, worth £1.7 billion, and the result of this was a surge in share prices, which increased by nearly a quarter. However, this raised almost immediate concern that investor may lose out on their loyalty bonus that they were originally promised by Lloyds when it floated back in June 2014.
The lender, who is backed by the state, offered investors a bonus share for every 20 shares that they purchased, up to a maximum value of £2,000, as long as they keep them for a minimum of a year.
