Aldi is a German supermarket chain. Find your nearest store by calling the Aldi phone number.
It sells a range of discount products, from groceries to electricals. It has developed a cult following recently due to the recession and the hike in prices in other supermarkets. Aldi buy items from suppliers in volume so they can sell them on for cheap. The products are sold under their own label and the discounts Aldi acquires are then passed onto the customers. Stores are laid out in a simple way so customers can find what they are looking for.
Aldi currently has 9000 stores around the world, in places such as the USA, Hungary, Australia and Ireland. Aldi has been named Which? “Best Supermarket” for two years running, and its products have often been complimented in the media. Most Aldi stores are open until 9pm at night, and appear in a variety of locations including retail parks, high streets and residential areas. Aldi contact details are also available for customers to speak to a representative about queries or complaints.
Whilst you cannot purchase all of Aldi’s product range online, you can purchase specialbuys and wine cases.
Specialbuys are limited offers on electrical items, homewares, DIY products, clothing and much more. New specialbuys are released every Sunday and Thursday and are often seasonal; for example, in the summer you may find offers on camping equipment or outdoor furniture, whereas in winter it may be Christmas decorations or electric heaters. You can now buy specialbuy items both in store and online.
Aldi has a team of expert buyers who work closely alongside suppliers to find the best wines. Aldi wines have won over 200 awards. You can order wine cases of 4,5 or 6 bottles online through the Aldi website and have them delivered to your home. You can also apply to join the Aldi wine club; an exclusive wine tasting panel. If your application is successful, you will be sent two bottles of wine per month for three months to review on Twitter, using the hashtag #AldiWineClub.
For wine and specialbuy orders, delivery is usually £3, for standard delivery within 3-5 working days. Next day delivery costs £4. You can also have your order delivered to a CollectPlus collection point. CollectPlus has almost 6,000 stores across the UK, in locations such as McColls, Spar or Co-op. To collect your parcel, you need your collection code and proof of ID.
The in store returns policy is that you can return a product which is faulty within 60 days with proof of purchase. For online orders, you can either return via Royal Mail/CollectPlus or your nearest store (Specialbuys only).
For a faulty Specialbuy, they can be returned up to 12 months with/without a warranty. However, some Specialbuy products may have a five year warranty.
